Rebel Wilson marries Ramona Agulma in Italian wedding ceremony

Rebel Wilson is married!

The 44-year-old actress and comedian married her partner Ramona Agurma in a wedding ceremony on Saturday, September 28, in Sardinia, Italy, a source told PEOPLE.

Wilson and Agurma, 40, made their romance public in June 2022, when the Fourth Grade star posted a cozy selfie of the couple on Instagram with the caption: "Really, always Disney princesses."

Getting married in Italy is very fitting, as it was the couple's first vacation together in public. A few days after officially announcing their marriage on Instagram, Wilson posted a photo of the pair holding hands in the coastal town of Porto Cervo, captioning it, "Ciao Bellas." They spent five days together at the luxury hotel Cala di Volpe.

A month ago, Wilson, whose directorial debut, "The Fat," premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, 14th - Revealed to PEOPLE that she is dating someone new and that the couple was set up "through friends." She said they met on the phone before meeting in person.

"And it was a really good way to get to know each other," she explained at the time. "It was kind of old-fashioned in that way, and very romantic."

Wilson and Aguruma, founder of sustainable clothing brand Lemon Limon, got engaged on Valentine's Day 2023, but the Australian actress chose a fairy-tale backdrop for the big moment. She proposed to her now-wife in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland in California.

Wilson shared the happy news on Instagram at the time, including a photo of the couple kissing while Aguruma showed off her engagement ring, and another photo of Wilson on one knee in front of Aguruma holding a blue Tiffany ring box with the person holding her hand. They wore matching pink and white striped sweaters with embroidered hearts for the occasion.

"We said yes! Thank you to @tiffanyandco for the amazing rings and to Bob Iger and the amazing team at Disneyland for this magical surprise!" Wilson wrote in the post's caption.

Wilson later detailed how he pulled off the surprise proposal in his memoir, Rebel Rising: A Memoir, published in April 2024.
